Carol Lynne gives us a reunion of the folks from her Men in Love series, and it was nice getting to “see” everyone again. The gang gathers together because a woman turns up claiming to be Gabe’s long lost sister. Gabe has spent years in a fruitless search for the mother who abandoned him. As usual, everyone bands together to get to the bottom of things, and we get a nice picture of these men and women ten years after the rest of the series.
I was surprised to see Lynne work in a story for Bram’s brother Brier. It was good to see how she’s letting that character grow.
My only complaint is that the main conflict really isn’t resolved. Rather, Lynne lets us know that there will be another book.
A side note: I just don’t see how five people can actually sleep in the same bed every night. I guess I’m just too much of a bed-hog to understand that one.
